Annibale Carracci (1560 – 1609)

Annibale Carracci was an Italian artist and art instructor from Bologna. In the early 1580s, Annibale opened a private teaching academy, along with his older brother, Agostino and their cousin, Ludovico, the academy was named, Accademia degli Incamminati, or (the Academy of the Progressives), specialising in progressive art. All three painters were distinguished graphic artists, and fine draughtsmanship became a quality, associated with the artists of the School of Bologna.
