Gentile Bellini (c. 1429 – 1507)

Gentile Bellini was an Italian artist of the School of Venice. In 1474 he was made the official portrait painter for the Doges of Venice. As well as his portraits, he was also known for his very large works that contained many figures. His older brother, Giovanni, is the more famous artist today.
