Bartholomeus Breenbergh (1598/1600 – 1657)

Bartholomeus Breenbergh was a Dutch artist of the Dutch Golden Age who painted Italian landscapes. Very little is known about his early life and a lot relies on the word of others, but he did move to Rome between 1619 and 1630 and then to Amsterdam from 1630 to 1657. His work was hugely influenced by the Flemish landscape artist, Paul Bril.
