Richard Brakenburg, or, Richard Brakenburgh (1650 – 1702)

Richard Brakenburg was a Dutch artist of the Dutch Golden Age who was born in Haarlem. He was known for painting landscapes and portraits in an Italian style, and creating genre works (the painting of ordinary people in everyday life situations), often in scenes of drunken merriment. His pictures were intelligently put together and finely coloured.
