Mateo Cerezo the Younger (1637 – 1666)

Mateo Cerezo the Younger was a Spanish artist from the city of Burgos. He was a painter of the Baroque movement who was best known for his religious works. He studied initially, under his artist father, Mateo Cerezo the Elder, and then went on to complete his training in Madrid, possibly, with Juan Carreño de Miranda. His main influences were Titian and Sir Anthony van Dyck.
