Leonaert Bramer, also known as, Leendert or Leonard Bramer (1596 – 1674)
Leonaert Bramer was a Dutch artist and draughtsman. He was known principally for his genre, religious and historical artworks. He often painted scenes at night, displaying his talent for painting finely detailed costumes and settings. Bramer also painted frescoes, as well as murals on canvas, but only a few of these survive today.
