José Benlliure y Gil (1858 – 1937)
José Benlliure y Gil was a Spanish painter, born in Cañamelar, Valencia. He studied art at the San Carlos School of Fine arts in Valencia and later, at the private studio of Francisco Domingo Marqués. He was the brother of sculptor, Mariano Benlliure.
