Jan Both, or, Jan Dirksz Both (c. 1618 – 1652)
Jan Both was a Dutch artist, draughtsman and etcher. He was born in Utrecht and was the brother of artist, Andries Both (c. 1612 – 1641). Jan Both was a landscape painter who made a significant contribution to the advancement of Dutch Italianate landscape painting.
