Giovanni Baglione (1566 – 1643)

Giovanni Baglione was an Italian painter and art historian. He painted in the styles of Late Mannerism and Early Baroque. He was noted for his significant publications about his fellow artists who, like him, were working in Rome at the time. His caustic and destructive relationship with the younger, Caravaggio, was also widely acknowledged.
