Frederick Arthur Bridgman (1847 – 1928)
Frederick Arthur Bridgman was an American artist, who was noted for his paintings of the Middle East. He made his first trip to North Africa between 1872 and 1874, where he visited both Algeria and Egypt. Whilst there, he produced around 300 sketches which he later used as reference material for several highly acclaimed oil paintings.
