Evaristo Baschenis (1617 – 1677)
Evaristo Baschenis came from a family of Italian artists of which, he was the most famous. Although he painted religious subjects, he is better known for his charming, still life paintings of musical instruments, this might be explained by his friendship with a family, who made high quality violins.
