Cornelis Bega, or, Cornelis Pietersz Bega, or, Cornelis Pietersz Begijn (c. 1631 – 1664)
Cornelis Bega was an artist and engraver of the Dutch Golden Age. He was Born and worked in Haarlem and was a student of Adriaen van Ostade, who painted peasants in genre settings. Bega painted similar scenes, often portraying peasants in taverns and domestic interiors, he also liked to paint village characters. It is possible that he died of the plague.
